1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to My Job Trackr ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website at myjobtrackr.com, web application at app.myjobtrackr.com, or our mobile applications for iOS and Android (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and My Job Trackr. Please read them carefully before using our Service.
2. Service Description
My Job Trackr is a job application tracking platform designed to help job seekers, graduates, and career switchers organise their job search process. Our Service includes:
- Job application tracking and management
- Interview scheduling and stage tracking
- Offer comparison and management
- Job search functionality powered by third-party APIs
- Quick Import feature to auto-fill job details from URLs
- Cross-platform access via web, iOS, and Android applications
The Service is available through multiple platforms:
- Web Application – Accessible at app.myjobtrackr.com
- iOS Application – Available on the Apple App Store
- Android Application – Available on Google Play Store
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4. Your Account
4.1 Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any additional security features we may offer. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
4.3 One Account Per Person
Each person may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or termination of all associated accounts.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
5.1 Subscription Plans
We offer both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans ("Pro") provide access to additional features and functionality. Details of current plans and pricing are available on our website and within the applications.
5.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed differently depending on the platform you use:
- Web Application – Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- iOS Application – Payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Purchases are subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions.
- Android Application – Payments are processed through Google Play's billing system. Purchases are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.
Our subscription management is powered by RevenueCat, which enables us to synchronise your subscription status across platforms.
5.3 Cross-Platform Access
A subscription purchased on one platform entitles you to Pro features across all platforms when logged into the same account. However, subscriptions themselves are managed by the platform where the original purchase was made.
Note: Pricing may vary between platforms due to platform fees and regional pricing. The price displayed at the point of purchase is the price you will be charged.
5.4 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged at the then-current rate for your subscription plan.
5.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Web – Through your account settings at app.myjobtrackr.com or via the Stripe customer portal
- iOS – Through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store
- Android – Through Google Play Store subscription settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until that date.
5.6 Refunds
Refund policies differ by platform:
- Web (Stripe) – We may offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact us to request a refund.
- iOS – Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. You must request refunds through Apple's Report a Problem page.
- Android – Refunds are handled by Google Play. You may request refunds through the Google Play refund process.
We cannot process refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store directly.
5.7 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. For existing subscribers, price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice of the change. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Free Tier
We offer a free tier of our Service that provides core job tracking functionality at no cost. The free tier:
- Is provided "as is" without guarantee of perpetual availability
- May have feature limitations compared to Pro plans
- May include reasonable usage limits
- Is subject to the same Terms as paid subscriptions
We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice to users.
7. Acceptable Use
7.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial job search and application tracking purposes in accordance with these Terms.
7.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service without our written permission
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the Service
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Service in any way that could damage our reputation or goodwill
7.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these Terms, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
8. Your Content
8.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"), including job application details, notes, interview information, and any other data you input. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
8.2 Licence to Us
By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account.
8.3 Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that:
- You have all necessary rights to submit Your Content
- Your Content does not violate any third party's rights
- Your Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- Your Content does not contain any unlawful material
8.4 Data Export
You may export Your Content at any time through the features provided in the Service. We encourage you to maintain your own backups of important data.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and branding (excluding Your Content), is owned by My Job Trackr and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9.2 Limited Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
9.3 Restrictions
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Service or any part thereof without our prior written consent.
9.4 Feedback
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without any obligation to you.
10. Third-Party Services
10.1 Integration with Third Parties
The Service integrates with or relies on various third-party services, including:
- CareerJet API – Powers our job search functionality
- Stripe – Processes web payments
- Apple/Google – Process mobile app payments
- RevenueCat – Manages subscription synchronisation
10.2 Third-Party Terms
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
10.3 External Links
The Service may contain links to external websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites.
10.4 Job Listings
Job listings displayed through our job search feature are provided by third parties. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of these listings and are not responsible for any transactions or interactions between you and employers.
11. Disclaimers
11.1 Service Provided "As Is"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
11.2 No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job offers, interviews, or any particular outcome in your job search. The Service is a tool to help organise your job search; your success depends on many factors outside our control.
11.3 Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
11.4 Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate information, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Service, including job listings and auto-filled job details.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR £100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
- THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Job Trackr, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Your Content
14. Termination
14.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the Service. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- Any active subscription will be cancelled (refunds subject to Section 5.6)
- Your Content may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
14.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:
- Violation of these Terms
- Conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Discontinuation of the Service
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including Sections 8-13 and 15-17.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Posting the updated Terms on the Service
- Sending an email to the address associated with your account
- Displaying a notice within the application
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
16.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us.
16.3 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (if you are a UK consumer).
